The Egg Minder

Posting during the holidays is tough. There is just so much going on. I’ve Benin baking pies all day. The blog gets forgotten. If I stop posting altogether, that’s why.

Have you heard of the egg minder? Well, Egg Minder. It’s a proper noun. It’s also a $70 gadget that tells you via your phone if your eggs are fresh.

Seriously? Who comes up with this stuff? Better yet, who buys it?

If you want to know if your eggs are fresh, put them in a bowl of water. If it sinks, it’s good. If it floats, it’s bad. No need to spend $70.

Better yet, buy farm fresh eggs from a farm you trust. Then you don’t have to worry about them going bad. Eggs have a very long shelf life. Like, 2 months. If you get truly fresh eggs you shouldn’t have to worry about them spoiling.

The holidays make me snarky. Can you tell?
