Praying for Spring

Ryan and I survived the week without Steve. We got a surprising amount done given we were a man down. It was a good week, but I do miss Steve. I’m sure Ryan misses him, too. He’s been stuck helping me with chores and I don’t think he finds my one-sided conversations with the cows and pigs nearly as amusing as Steve does. Oh well!

After a week of escapee pigs, flat tires, broken gates and freezing cold, Ryan and I ended things on a high note. Today was absolutely beautiful. And I do mean that relatively speaking. The high temperature was barely 40*F. Still, I didn’t need a scarf or hat or gloves. And no bibs! At one point I even had my jacket off. It was lovely. Even the mud made me smile.

Perhaps spring is on the way? I am ready for it. This cold is exhausting!
